McCOOK, Neb. — Charlene Ann Titman, age 67, of McCook, passed away at Great Plains Health, in North Platte, Neb., on Nov. 2, 2020.

She was born in McCook on Nov. 22, 1952, to Glenn and Rita Rose (Kohmetscher) Titman. She attended school in Indianola, later attaining her GED.

She made her home in Cambridge, Arapahoe, and Indianola, Neb., before retiring in McCook. Charlene was a proud mother, raising her three daughters in Southwest Nebraska. Charlene continued her education and became a certified nursing assistant. She was employed at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook, Good Samaritan Society in Arapahoe, and the Cambridge Manor as a CNA.

Charlene had a free spirit who enjoyed laughing with others and was not afraid to ask or say what was on her mind. She enjoyed playing cards with her kids, grandkids, and extended family of nephews and nieces. She loved her gardening and flowers. Charlene was family-oriented, following her many grandchildren’s events. She was the family historian, keep track of all the families and passing important events along with information to all.

Charlene was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the Alter Society and had a devotion to the Holy Rosary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Rita; two brothers, Raymond “Joe” Titman and Thomas Titman; sister, Barbara Lepper; and nephew, Donald Lepper.

Charlene is survived by her three daughters, Misty (Larry) Vickers of Wiggins, Colo., Cristine (Thomas) Courter of North Platte and Michelle (Rashard) King of North Platte; nine grandchildren; sister, Cecilia Koch of McCook; brother, Jay (Theresa) Titman of Damascus, W.V., and sister-in-law, Judy Titman of Lincoln, Neb.

Visitation will be at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel today, Nov. 5, 2020, until 6 p.m. Rosary will follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in McCook at 7 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Friday, Nov. 6, 2020, at 10 a.m., with Father Brian Wirth officiating. Burial will be in St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery of Indianola. Memorials may be left in Charlene’s name to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of McCook.
