Christian depression, loneliness, suicide are real!
Friday, September 25, 2020
People have misused the phrase “If you have God you are never alone!” or “When you have God, you already have all you need!” to the point of misuse, isolation, justifying lack of fellowship, abuse & neglect of others & lack of compassion.
The ones who usually say this have families, friends & loved ones continually around them. They have no clue what real isolation, abandonment & being lonely is.
It is the Christian equivalent of the world’s “Pick yourself up by your boots straps & toughen up!” Or “Shut up & deal with it!”
It is the same as if someone is hungry or cold & you walk away & say, “I will pray for you!” Or “May God keep you warm!” & you walk away, on about your own business.
Adam had God every day in the garden & God Himself said it was Not good for Adam to have no one of his own species. (This was not just for procreation. The animals had families & friends of their own species).
God also said Love your neighbor, do not forsake fellowship, have compassion forgiving one another as God has forgiven you, when one falls the other should lift him up, & love one another as I have loved you, etc.
We have God because He loves us, if others love us they will do as He does. Share life with us too!
So next time someone says they are lonely, do Not say, “If you have God, you have all you need!” That is Not the Love of God! Step up, fellowship, encourage them that they are not alone because God is with them AND you are walking along side of them, too! Together no one has to go through life alone! Share life with the lonely & they will be lonely no more.
This is a cry, a test to see if you Love God & others made in His image. When you fail & say, “They have God & that is enough!”, you failed! That is a cop out so you can love only God & yourself. That is Not the Love of God! It is mocking the pain & hurt of another! It is Christian abuse!
God said how can you love me who you cannot see & yet you love Not those made in my image who you can see?
True, God is “the source” for everything you need!” But, humans, often other Christians, are His hands & feet to deliver the help He is sending. He sends people to come along side & help each other up. He calls us to be His hands & feet to a lonely, hurting world.
Many refuse with a common miss-applyed phrase as a cop out. Please don’t let that be your response!

“A Good Person Leaves an Inheritance ForTheir Children”
I have heard it said to give it all too early, you may create disasters in their young life for without wisdom, they dont know how to safely handle such wealth. Instead of living to watch them enjoy it, you watch them mess up with it while you live.
To save all for them to receive upon your demise, often greedy others will steal it from them.
What then are you to do to safely transfer wealth?
“Monitor it with periodic dispersments using your wisdom until they have grown into wisdom of their own”.
If you and your spouse have separate children coming into the marriage, dont expect the remaining spouse to be fair to your children if you pass first. Make separate provisions & monitor it with your wisdom while you are alive. Family members do not always become one....rarely. Your children are your responsibility, protect them when you are gone, by providing for them through monitoring periodic dispersements before you leave. Try to be equally fair with all children; yours, mine & ours during your life & in your will for passing.
And the Best Inheritance you can leave your Loved ones is a Mutual Sharing of Faith in Jesus Christ. The only Inheritance they & you can take into Eternity.
