Raiders win five-set volleyball thriller with Tigers
BENKELMAN, Neb. — Medicine Valley twice rallied from a set down to win one wild 19-25, 25-22, 20-25, 25-19, 15-13 match over the host Dundy County-Stratton Tigers Thursday evening.
Senior Acelyn Klein’s 17 kills wih nine ace blocks at the net led this spirited Raider effort.
Kaylyn Roblee crushed another 10 kills with freshman Stella Heapy drilling seven.
Millia Farr was equally tough whether it was her four blocks or four kills.
Senior setter Jessa Bailey’s 20 assists were another reason why the Raiders earned a huge win on those tough Tigers’ home court.
Medicine Valley’s just 2-1 this season, according to maxpreps.com information.
The Tigers are 1-7 after playing two matches at Tuesday’s Cambridge Triangular.
No individual stats were obtained for DC-S.
Medicine Valley hits the road again to play Wallace Monday night and visit Hitchcock County Thursday.
