ARAPAHOE, Neb. — Walter Neal Leising, 60, of Arapahoe, died Wednesday (Sept. 9, 2020), at his home.

He was born Dec. 18, 1959, at Oxford, Neb., to Armin Walter and Gladys Margaret (Petermann) Leising.

He married Sheri Meyer at Zion Lutheran Church at Pierce, Neb., on Aug. 6, 1988. He worked at the family construction company.

He was preceeded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Sheri Leising of Arapahoe; children, Nathan, Bryce, and Andrea Leising of Lincoln, Neb.; sisters, Nancy (Jerry) Dunfee of Lancaster, Ohio, Jane (Jeff) Ellis of Holdrege, Neb., Ruth (Merlin) Oswald of Madison, Neb., and Arlene (John) Suchan of Billings, Mont.; brothers, David (Sherry) Leising of Seward, Neb., and Phillip (Nina) Leising of Arapahoe; and other family members.

Visitation is today until 8:30 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Chapel in Arapahoe and prior to the service at the church.

Funeral services are Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, 10:30 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe with Rev. James Moshier officiating. Interment will follow at the Arapahoe Cemetery at Arapahoe. Memorials can be given in his name to Mission Central in Mapleton, Iowa or donor’s choice. Online condolences can be left at wenburgfuneralhome.com.
