Rosie the rescue kitten and a second chance at childhood

Rosie was a rescue kitten she came to us when she was 6 months old. She was already a month pregnant.

A month later she gave birth to baby kittens still a baby herself. She had been robbed of her childhood. Never knew how to be a kitten. Never really played. Didn’t know how to take care of her claws or clean her fur. She had ear mites and she wobbled when she walked. The babies in her womb was almost bigger than her body

She was miserable & scared.

She spent most of her first year in isolation away from other pets, due to health situations & then weening from the babies. A baby having babies. Taking care of these little fragile kittens, when still a kitten herself. No one had taken care of her or kept her safe, yet she is providing & taking care of these precious new lives.

Today she is a kitten again herself given a second childhood having been robbed of the first. All her babies grew up to be bigger than her except the runt of the litter. She hops and plays like a new born herself. She is happy, healthy, safe & well loved. Finally, living the life God created her to have.

People and animals both can be born in unfair situations. We are to step in & rescue those we can. It is more than an act of kindness. For them, people and animals alike, it is their very life & death.

Satan wreaks havoc to steal, destroy and kill. God wants to rescue, heal & offer new safe, healthy, happy life. You were born to help others. Others were born to help you. Do not walk away & turn your back, even if you feel unqualified, when you see another person or animal suffering.

God will equip you if you will just have a heart & step up. He equipped Miss Rosie to help the babies. He equipped us, the also unqualified, to help Miss Rosie. He will equip you, too, ....don’t walk away...unless you carry them away in your arms with you. You may be their only hope... God will hold you responsible for not answering His call!
