New administrator at Hillcrest Nursing Home
McCOOK, Neb. — The new administrator at Hillcrest Nursing Home is James Foster.
Foster started working in healthcare in 1993 as a licensed physical therapy assistant in skilled nursing facilities in the Joplin, Mo., area. He then obtained his bachelor’s degree in 2003 in healthcare administration and has since worked in health care, business and community-related entities.
He and his wife, Teresa, are Southwest Nebraska natives, with Foster born in Imperial, Neb., and Teresa born in McCook.
“It’s great to come home to the great state of Nebraska,” he said in an email. “As I have heard it said, ‘It might not be for everyone, but it is for us.’”
They have three grown children, two daughters, one son and two grandsons. They also have a large extended family that lives in the local area.
“I am excited to meet all the new people as soon as we can return to a little more normalcy,” he said. “Until then, I appreciate your patience with the great staff and myself as we do our due diligence to try to keep our residents/loved ones safe and healthy.”
Hillcrest is owned by Red Willow County and operates on its own revenue with a separate budget.
