Community Hospital: New entrance opens Monday for PT, OT and Speech Therapies
McCOOK, Neb. — It has been a long wait, but the wait is over. Patients coming for physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy at the Community Hospital Rehabilitation Center will enter through a new entrance directly from the front parking lot starting Monday, August 3. The new entrance is just east of the main hospital entrance and will be marked.
Walking down long hallways to get to therapy will, for the most part, be gone.
The new entrance, with a beautiful stone, glass and brick vestibule to match the hospital architecture, brings a patient directly to the Rehabilitation Center registration desk and new waiting area. Once the patient is checked in, they are just steps away from the OT/PT departments, and down the hall from the speech department.
Patients coming for outpatient therapies will no longer enter the rehab department from the interior of the hospital.
The former waiting room and registration area will be transformed into offices.
