Pinnacle wins again, Bow tops Herrmann Jones

McCOOK, Neb. — It came down to the wire on Monday, with Pinnacle Bank Junior B taking victory on a dramatic walk-off double in the late innings that sealed an 8-7 victory over Broken Bow Ponies A.

The game was tied awith Pinnacle Bank Junior B batting in the bottom of the fifth when Brodhey Wood doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Broken Bow Ponies A got things moving in the first inning, when Gavin Wright grounded out, scoring one run.

Pinnacle Bank Junior B put up four runs in the third inning. Pinnacle Bank Junior B offense in the inning was led by Lincoln Michaelis, Brett Fraker, and Keagan Reece, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Cole Graham got the win for Pinnacle Bank Junior B. He allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out Fraker started the game for Pinnacle Bank Junior B. He allowed seven hits and six runs over four innings, striking out seven Zach Loy started the game for Broken Bow Ponies A. He surrendered five runs on four hits over three innings, striking out three

Reece led Pinnacle Bank Junior B with two hits in three at bats. Pinnacle Bank Junior B tore up the base paths, as four players stole at least two bases. Graham led the way with three. Pinnacle Bank Junior B didn’t commit a single error in the field. Michaelis had nine chances in the field.

Herrmann Jones 4

Herrmann Jones 14UA stayed in it until the end, but Broken Bow Ponies A pulled away late in a 13-4 victory on Monday.

Broken Bow Ponies A trailed 2-1 in the top of the third inning when Bow homered on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

The SCNBL Herrmann Jones 14UA struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Broken Bow Ponies A, giLandon Kmoch took the loss for SCNBL Herrmann Jones 14UA. He allowed six hits and eight runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking zero.

Nathaniel Miller, Kmoch, Ethan Schmidt, and Quentin Terry all had one hit to lead Herrmann Jones.

Herrmann Jones slipped to 2-4 on the season.
