Norton fights off McCook FCB Juniors

NORTON, Kan. — The Norton Seniors Legion baseball team had just enough to down McCook’s First Central Bank Juniors, 8-5 and 8-7, in a Sunday doubleheader.

Cameron Werkmeister pitched a solid first game for McCook, allowing only walk during about a four-inning stretch according to coach Kaden Sitzman.

Jarrett Walter ripped a clutch hit to help the FCB Juniors lead 5-2 during that second contest. However, some McCook miscues helped Norton rally.
