Janet and Van Korell of McCook, who own and restored Nebraska’s only home designed by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright, are recipients of the 2019 Wright Spirit Award, presented by the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy. Introduced in 1991, the Wright Spirit Award recognizes efforts of extraordinary individuals and organizations that have preserved the legacy of Frank Lloyd Wright through their tireless dedication and persistent efforts. Awards are presented in the categories Private, Public, Professional and Special Honors. Only six other individuals and one organization received the award.

The Sutton House, at Norris and E, is the only Nebraska home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
