Rawlins' league champion girls win again

ATWOOD, Kan. — Northwest Kansas League champion Rawlins County scored another great win, 40-20, over Cheylin Tuesday evening.

The Buffaloes started slow with only 14 points before halftime, but sophomore Abby Singhateh’s 14 points made sure they delivered another victory.

Brea Lankas added seven points with six with Kristen Beckman and Sadie Sramek adding six apiece.

Libby Mosley tossed in another four points for the Buffaloes, who won three straight to take the NWKL tourney championship last week.

They avenged an earlier defeat to Decatur Community (Kan.) during that title run.

Buff boys at home

ATWOOD, Kan. — Isaac Domsch hit four threes and tallied 11 of his 16 points in the final quarter during Rawlins County’s 70-54 loss to visiting Cheylin Tuesday night.

Stat Chessmore delivered a solid 13-point effort with Brandon Chavatal tossing in 10.

Domsch’s long-range barrage sparked a 20-point Rawlins fourth quarter.

Brady Beckman added eight points ,Thomas Frank five and Tanner Hayes two for the Buffaloes.
