Bison bowlers roll to victory at Lexington tourney

LEXINGTON, Neb. — The McCook Unified Bowling team delivered another successful Saturday of bowling at a Lexington Invitational.

McCook’s Team 2 went 3-0 to win the Silver Division with dual victories over North Platte, Cambridge and host Lexington.

The champion Team 2 is pictured at right.

McCook’s Team 1 of Luke Maris, Erik Graff, Kassadi Lemburg, Mason Michaelis and Alec Langan finished 3-1 for second among all Gold Division competition.

They topped foes from Grand Island Northwest, North Platte and Cambridge before losing to Lexington.

McCook’s Team 3 (in below right photo) went 2-1 for second place in their Bronze division.

They outbowled both North Platte and Cambridge until rolling into another tough Lexington contingent.

“All in all, it was a great day of bowling,” coach Lynn Kinne commented. “The teams continue to improve and enjoy the camaraderie that unified bowling brings.”

The Bison won a dual at Kearney on Mnday and will compete next in Saturday’s Grand Island Tournament. Watch for results and details.
