McCOOK, Neb. — Casey Sines-Baker, age 28, of McCook, passed away unexpectedly as a result of a motor vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 83 near Maywood, Neb., on Monday, Oct. 7, 2019.
Casey was born Oct. 24, 1990, in Thornton, Colo., to parents, Carney Lyle and Violetta (Sines) Baker. The family made their home south of McCook where Casey was home schooled. He was one of eight siblings.
Casey loved theater and music. He played numerous instruments, including the guitar, piano and drums, and also participated in various musical productions and plays over the years. He was a member of the swim team, a music leader at his church, the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints, and enjoyed computer gaming.
Casey was preceded in death by his father, Carney Baker; brother, Ron Wooley; and his sister, Bonnie Padilla.
Those left to celebrate his life include his significant other, Melissa Jacobs and their daughter, Nova Grace Sines-Baker of Bartley, Neb.; mother, Violette Sines-Baker of Engelhard, N.C.; three brothers, Beaux (Fran) Sines of Arapahoe, Neb., Norman (Maggie) Baker of Akron, Colo., and Mike (Nancy) Baker of Avon, N.C.; two sisters, Angie (Brad) Hershberger of McCook and Ann (Chris) Hall of Casper, Wyo.; as well as numerous extended family members.
Family potluck celebration of life will be Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019, at 12:30 p.m., at Karrer Park 1546-1798 East B St. in McCook.
