Unbeaten Tigers, Falcons top football Friday

ARAPAHOE, Neb. — The Dundy County-Stratton Tigers reached 5-0 as four players scored touchdowns in a 44-8 win over Arapahoe Friday evening.

Sophomore quarterback Quade Myers topped the Tigers with 183 yards with two TDs covering five and 31 yards.

Junior Serbando Diaz delivered another 139 rush yards including scores from 18 and 31 yards.

The Tigers triumphed despite completing just one pass because of their dominant rush attack.

Senior Lane Shillington’s one-yard run started the scoring during a 22-0 first quarter.

A safety made it 24-0 before Diaz’s second td increased the margin to 30-0.

Bobby Schneider ran three yards for the final Tiger TD.

Triston Abraham went one yard to an Arapahoe touchdown with Cord Frink adding the two-point conversion.

The Warriors slipped to 0-5 this season.

Abraham’s 50 yards on 19 rushes paced the Warrior attack. Wyatt Jenkins carried 12 times to 27 more yards.

Besides the top two Tigers, Corbin Horner gained 41 yards with only four carries for DC-S.

Hitchcock County 64, Alma 6

TRENTON, Neb. — Despite allowing their first points in four games, the Hitchcock County Falcons made it four straight impressively Friday night.

Hitchcock County (4-1) took a 30-0 lead through one quarter over the 3-2 Alma Cardinals.

They made it 44-0 by halftime to follow their three consecutive shutout wins.

Rawlins 0

OBERLIN, Kan. — The annual Kansas rivalry was all Red Devils with seniors Dawson Kempt and Colton Ketterl scoring two touchdowns apiece for 4-1 Decatur Community.

Kempt carried nine times for a team-leading 77 yards.

Senior Bryson Metcalf added another 60 yards on eight rushes with another TD.

The Red Devils followed their 20-0 first quarter with 30 points before halftime.

Rawlins County slipped to 3-2. The best highlights were 51 rush yards from juniors Cyrus Green (29) and Kendrick Woody (22).

Mullen 34,

Medicine Valley 14

MULLEN, Neb. — The Medicine Valley Raiders slipped to 3-2 though senior Quade Potter caught three passes for 103 yards and a touchdown.

Quarterback Kaden Bonini threw for 109 yards and gained another 66 rushing.

Senior Sam Heapy rushed for a team-high 85 yards.

WAUNETA, Neb. — The 3-2 Brady Eagles soared in front, 49-0, by halftime of a surprising win over 3-2 Wauneta-Palisade on Friday.
