McCook's Pinnacle Bank boys win 32-1
COZAD, Neb. — A 20-run top of the first inning started McCook’s Pinnacle Bank 14-and-under boys to their 32-1 win over Cozad Youth Rec Thursday evening.
Leadoff batter Jacob Gomez-Wilson set the pace all game when he batted four times, ripped four hits, scored four runs and drove in another four.
Yet No. 9 batter Lucas Gomez-Wilson didn’t let his brother have all the fun. He also went 4-for-4, scored four runs and batted in four.
They weren’t even the only family name to cause endless trouble for Cozad.
Keynan Gaston finished four-for-four, scored four runs and fell just one short of another four “rib-eyes” (three RBIs total).
Kolyn Gaston added four more hits during his six at-bats with three RBIs and two runs scored.
Between, every Pinnacle Bank Player contributed to the 29-hit attack which only lasted three innings due to Legion baseball’s mercy rule.
Kolyn Gaston crushed another four hits while Carter Larson and Alex Anthony both smashed three.
Adam Dugger (four runs) and Coleton Lentz (three runs, two RBIs) tallied two hits apiece.
