McCook Seniors, Juniors games called off tonight
LEXINGTON, Neb. — Lexington Legion baseball officials have postponed tonight's Juniors-Seniors doubleheader with McCook due to unplayable field conditions.
Lexington's Rob Kuefner stated in a message through social media "that ground water is just too high and we have standing water on parts of the field...we don't want to injure anyone with unsafe playing conditions."
No rescheduled dates have been announced.
McCook's First Central Bank Juniors and Seniors are both building momentum after winning games over the Gothenburg Melons Wednesday evening.
The Juniors (1-2 record) are set to play next in a North Platte Tournament Friday through Sunday.
The Seniors (2-3 record) will play at Norton, Kan., Friday night. Both games will host doubleheaders against Hays, Kan., next week with Seniors on Tuesday and Juniors Wednesday evening.
