Trojans, SV boys soar into C-8's top four

OXFORD, Neb. — The Cambridge Trojans crushed it with many personal bests and top performances while placing second among boys teams at Thursday’s C-8 district meet.

Results speak for themselves below as Trojans deliverd superb efforts whether it was Kyle Eubanks (200 meters) Kyle Borland (shot put), Lucas tenBensel (discus), Quintin Shaner (triple jump) Paxton Ross (300 hurdles), Zion Moyer (300 hurdles) or Cambridge relays.

The Trojans were second behind only Kearney Catholicc (109 points). They’ll be well-represented when Nebraska state competition takes place at Omaha Burke Stadium next week.

Southern Valley finished fourth overall with championships from hurdlers Clayton Berry (110 meters) and Jaden Quinn (300).

The Eagles also saw Pete Brown vault into second place among high jumpers.

Southwest took seventh as a team and saw senior Kaden Guerrero qualify in pole vault.

Top five teams and all area top six placers during the C-8 district/track field meet at Southern Valley High on Thursday.

Top three individuals and two relays are the automatic state qualifiers.
