Falcon's 38 points fuel subdistrict triumph

CAMBRIDGE, Neb. — D.D. stood for devastating duo as Dionte Perkins and Darian Hutto teamed for 58 points in their 74-34 playoff win over Maywood-Hayes Center Monday night.

Perkins put in 38 points while Hutto added an impressive 20 while the rising Falcons reached their 10th victory this season.

Hitchcock County (10-12 overall) will challenge top-seed Dundy County_Stratton (15-6) today in a D1-10 semifinal at Cambridge High School.

No. 2 Wauneta-Palisade (16-5) plays No. 3 Southwest (10-10) for the other shot at reaching Thursday night’s subdistrict championship game.

Coach Randall Rath’s Hitchcock Falcons have soared to three straight wins and five of their last seven. They’ll be aiming at revenge for a 68-43 home defeat against DC-S on Jan. 8.
