BARTLEY, Neb. — Sophomore Lincoln Waters and junior Michael Frederick scored 11 points each to give Dundy County-Stratton just enough offense for a 37-35 win over Southwest Friday evening.

The Tigers (14-5 record) outshot those Riders, 37 percent to 35, through this defensive struggle. They trailed 19-18 halftime but took a 31-29 lead into those final eight minutes.

A 33-20 rebounding advantage was another winning factor for DC-S as Frederick pulled down 11.

Junior Bryan Leslie’;s game-high 14 points kept Southwest (9-8 overall) within striking range.

Senior Dylan Hofman netted another nine points while seniors Jay Porter and Blake Williams added four apiece. The Roughriders are home again to play Rawlins County (Kan.) tonight.
