Pizza Hut in McCook will create a sports bar atmosphere in its new "WingStreet" set to open next door to the Hut at 811 N. Highway 83 in McCook at the end of February. Area coach Lorrie Scarrow of Brady, left, and general manager Sara Rowe of McCook describe WingStreet: Nine flavors of wings, appetizers, jalapeņo poppers, fried apple pie, chips and cheese, quepapas (mini potato bites filled with cheese and jalapeņos); all Pizza Hut products; four draft beers and 30 bottled beers; bars with high-top chairs; and 10 big-screen TVs. Sara said, "Our goal at WingStreet is to create a sports bar-type environment, but make it friendly and fun for the whole family." Sara said she's excited about bringing something new to McCook and Southwest Nebraska, as well as offering additional employment opportunities. Pizza Hut and WingStreet hours will be: Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., with plans to stay open later for games and programs.
