Chase will take aim at 15-0 Irish

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — Chase County’s girls will get a chance to knock off 15-0 North Platte St. Patrick’s in SPVA semfiinal action tonight.

The Longhorns (9-5 record) earned their shot with a 49-25 triumph over Kimball Tuesday night for their fifth straight win.

Junior Mallie McNair put in 24 points which proved to be the victory margin.

Her 10 steals also played a large role as Chase took the ball from Kimball Longhorns 25 times.

Senior Taylor Williams added 11 points while six other Longhorns buried shots.

Juniors Ashley Bubak and Sophie Spady scored three points each.

McNair and Williams blocked four shots apiece to put the final touches on this quarterfinal trouncing.

St. Pat’s provides a far more formidable challenge with opening tip set at 6:30 p.m.
