ARAPAHOE, Neb. — LeRoy Vernon Nitzel, 63, of Arapahoe, died Monday (Dec. 17, 2018), at Cambridge Memorial Hospital at Cambridge, Neb.

He was born Sept. 13, 1955, in Akron, Colo., to Vernon and Dorothy (Moffitt) Nitzel. He graduated high school in 1974. He married Angel Wright on June 22, 1991, in Culbertson, Neb. They lived in Arapahoe. He worked in laying floors.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Nitzel; mother- and father-in-law, James and Icyle Wright; and brothers-in-law, Roger Muchow and Allen Meyers.

Survivors include his wife, Angel and daughter, Kendra, both of Arapahoe; mother, Dorothy Nitzel of Akron; sister, Vicky Muchow of Brighton, Colo.; sisters-in-law, Mollie (Brad) Wright and Jamie Meyers of Longmont, Colo.; brothers-in-law, Shane Wright of Bridgeport, Neb., and Quinton Wright of Omaha, Neb.

Memorial services are Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, at 10 a.m. MST at Peace Lutheran Church in Akron. Inurnment is at a later date.
