ALMA, Neb. — Every Gazette-area school featured all-RPAC volleyball players wiht four earning first-team honors announced this week.

It’s no surprise that Cambridge junior middle hitter Korynn Clason and senior setter Kaelie Tomlin are both on that first team.

Clason was a volleyball-crushing machine while earning her “KoKo” nickname meaning she will knock you out twice.

Tomlin was a super leader of the Trojan attack that reached its first Class D-1 state volleyball tournament since 2008.

Coach Margo Kent often stated “in her opinion” Tomlin was southwest Nebraska’s best setter as the Trojans posted a 25-6 record.

Meanwhile, Southern Valley 6’ junior middle hitter Lauryn Samuelson has already been part of two Eagle state volleyball teams.

The Eagles didn’t make it a district title three-peat this fall, but Samuelson was still strong enough to make that all-RPAC team.

Southern Valley upset Cambridge on the Trojans’ home court en route to another RPAC tournament title match.

Bertrand won the tournament, though, behind two RPAC first teamers in senior Lindsey Schutz and junior libero Jada High.

Southwest senior Nicole Dewey was her own dominant force.

RPAC coaches took notice of Dewey’s efforts and also selected to the all-league first team.

The RPAC second team featured Cambridge senior Jenna Ebbers, who earned this honor in first varsity season and drilled five state tournament kills against three-time champion Johnson-Brock.

Southern Valley’s Grace Hogeland, Maggie Bose and Sawyer Quinn were all named second team along with Medicine Valley’s Alex Ellermeier.

The third t eam featured Cambridge senior Rylee Cross, Arapahoe’s super senior duo of Mariah Watson and Joslyn North; and Southwest junior Johanna Sughroue.
