No shortage of candidates for Frontier County posts

STOCKVILLE, Neb. — It appears there were plenty of candidates for positions in races in the general election Tuesday in Frontier County.

More than one school board and village board had more candidates than available positions.

Election results include:

Eustis/Farnam school board: (3 positions) Tyler Pieper, 202 votes; Neil Jack, 186 votes; Michelle Fasse, 183 votes; Shannon Rupe, 174 votes; Sharon Portenier, 115 votes; 9 write-in votes.

Maywood school district: (3 positions) Russ Gerlach, 127 votes; Sheri Hartley, 126 votes; Brett Wood, 115 votes; Derrick Hansen, 90 votes; Dee Klein, 60 votes; Shannon McCorkle 33 votes; 3 write-ins.

Cambridge school board: (3 positions) Trevor Kubik, 40 votes; Jason Houghtelling, 38 votes; Sally Farquhar, 30 votes; Drew Cramer, 23 votes; Brock Mowry, 18 votes; Jason Weiss, 10 votes.

Curtis Airport Authority: (2 positions) Ryan Pate, 181 votes; Mark Sheffield, 8 votes; Kevin Martin, 2 votes; Doug Schultz, Jerrod Burke, 1 vote each; 1 write-in.

Village of Eustis board: (2 positions) Doug Banzhaf, 155 votes; Brad Keller, 51 votes; Clark Gall, 2 votes; Braeden Rieker, Gerald Utterback, Brett Whittaker, Steven Rogers, Matt Newcomb, 1 vote each; 1 write-in.

Village of Stockville: (3 positions) Nicola Buker, Steve Walther, 10 votes each; John Owens, 8 votes; Jason Nickels, Rebecca Smith, 3 votes each; Richard Robertson, 2 votes.

Village of Moorefield board: (2 positions) Carol Hanes, 10 votes; Mark Smith, 4 votes; Rebekka Simmonds, 3; Rebekka White, Bonnie Woodring, 1 vote each.

County attorney: Jon Schroeder, 828 votes; 24 write-ins.

County clerk: Darla Walther, 949 votes; 7 write-ins.

County sheriff: Dan Rupp, 833 votes; 50 write-ins.

County treasurer: Carla Crawford, 923 votes; 14 write-ins.

County assessor: Regina Andrijeski, 803 votes; 31 write-ins.

County commissioner, District 2: Steven Hall, 197 votes; 1 write-in.

County commissioner, District 3: Kevin Owens, 328 votes; 6 write-ins.

Medicine Valley school board: (3 positions) Doug Smith, 255 votes; Susan Nutt, 224 votes; Dana Lashley Lueth, 156 votes; 20 write-ins.

Southwest school board: (3 positions) Jenni McConville, 36 votes; Jason Neseth, 33 votes; John O’Dea, 29 votes; 1 write-in.

McCook school board: (3 positions) Loretta Hauxwell, 18 votes; Dennis Berry, 15 votes; Mike Langan, 11 votes; 2 write-ins.

Hayes Center school board: (3 positions) Dexter Lacey, 10 votes; Nick Cox, Andrea Richards, 9 votes each.

City of Curtis, East Ward: Timothy Nicholson, 82 votes; 1 write-in.
