Donation to the shelter

McCook Public Schools’ Central Elementary Library students display the items they donated to the McCook Humane Society animal shelter. According to media specialist Sharon Bennett, the students sponsored a drive for the Humane Society as a community service project for the MNB “America’s Promise” Program. During a three-week period, items needed at the shelter were collected, from food to paper towels to bleach. Fifth-grade students donated $30 to the cause and Orscheln Farm and Home in McCook also contributed items.
