Pool champs pocket trip to Vegas

McCOOK, Neb. — Romey Grier from Stratton and Adam Brusoe from Culbertsonwill advance to the 2019 American Poolplayers Association’s (APA) 8-Ball Doubles Championship in Las Vegas after winning the 8-Ball Doubles tournament recently at TJ’s Family Fun Center.

Teaming up to take second place and a cash prize were the McCook duo of Don Daub and Bill Moore.

Once in Las Vegas, Grier and Brusoe will compete in a field of 384 teams and for a share of over $38,000 in prize money including the 1st place purse of $5,000.

Players that advance to the APA World Championships receive paid entry fee/greens fees, a generous travel allowance and complimentary lodging at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino, site of the APA World Pool Championships.

A new session of the APA Pool League will start in September. The last day to register a team is Friday, August 24th.
