The Cat Pack is winding down its sixth annual “Dogs and Cats of McCook” calendar voting project to raise funds for the McCook Humane Society and animal shelter. The last day to submit pictures for the 2019 calendar and to vote for “Cover Critters” is Monday, July 9, at 7 p.m. Photo submissions and voting must be uploaded to the contest website at http://www.gogophotocontest.com/thecatsandogsofmccook. Each photo submission costs $5, and each vote costs $1, with a minimum of five votes and $5 per credit card transaction. Deanne says she enjoys being able to help animals through the Cat Pack; Lainie says her involvement in the Cat Pack demonstrates her love for animals. Sarah explains that the Cat Pack’s inspiration was her family’s adopted cat, Switch. “Even though Switch has died, he would want us to help other animals and the shelter,” Sarah said.
