FCB Juniors hurl no-hitter at Holdrege

HOLDREGE, Neb. —McCook First Central Bank Juniors defeated Holdrege 21-1 on Tuesday, as two pitchers teamed up to throw a no-hitter. Alec Langan induced a groundout from Hudson Reed to get the last out of the game.

Konor Rakes led McCook FCB Juniors to victory by driving in four runs. He went 2-for-3 at the plate. Rakes drove in runs on a single in the first, a double in the first, a stolen base in the second, and a in the third.

McCook FCB Juniors got things moving in the first inning. McCook FCB Juniors scored one run when Rakes singled.

Colton Stevens was the winning pitcher for McCook FCB Juniors. He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over three and a third innings, striking out two. Langan threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Graydon Munn was on the mound for Holdrege. He allowed two hits and 11 runs over two-thirds of an inning. Tate Florell, Jon Christie, and Reed each contributed in relief for Holdrege.

Rakes led McCook FCB Juniors with two hits in three at bats.
