Community Hospital adds visiting general surgeon
McCook, Neb.—A visiting general surgeon will begin seeing patients at Community Hospital starting May 1. Kasia Wolanin, M.D., will see patients the first and third Tuesdays of each month. She is associated with Great Plains General Surgery in North Platte.
Appointments can be made by calling Community Hospital’s Central Scheduling department at 308-344-8285. Physician referrals are not needed.
Dr. Wolanin provides diagnosis and treatment for a broad range of conditions including gallbladder, hernia surgeries, fistulas, appendicitis, colonoscopies, breast biopsies, port placements, lesion excisions and more.
She was born in Poland but spent much of her childhood in Denver.
She completed medical school at the American University of Antigua College of Medicine, Antigua, West Indies. Internship was completed at the Department of Surgery, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, NY.
Residency was completed at the Department of Surgery, Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Wolanin is board eligible with the American Board of Surgery.
