CAMBRIDGE, Neb. — The Medicine Valley Raiders started fast and stayed strong throughout a 69-56 win over Alma in D1-11 subdistrict play Tuesday evening.

Teammate Justin Bailey delivered nine of his 13 points in the second period to keep Med Valley’s margin at 31-20 going into intermission.
Although 12-11 Alma junior Jackson McKenzie would light up the hoops for 35 points, Med Valley maintained control with Chase Newcomb (12 points) and Ryan Klintworth (10) contributing to a balanced attack.
Medicine Valley earned the subdistrict title shot against No. 1 Arapahoe Thursday night at Cambridge High School.
