Body recovered in Decatur County, Kan.

DECATUR COUNTY, Kan. — The body of Scott Hunter, 55, was found inside of his vehicle in a rural Decatur County field Friday.

The Bellevue, Neb. Police Department had asked the public to be on the lookout for Hunter, warning that he might be armed.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation notified Sarpy County authorities that Hunter’s body had been found. It is believed he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

He had been accused of several counts of sexual assault on a child in Sarpy County.
