Devils fight off Panthers in dual

OBERLIN, Kan. — Heavyweight Zeke Jimenez and classmate Kel Grafel celebrated “Senior Wrestling Night” with pins in Decatur Community’s 39-33 win over Phillipsburg on Thursday.

Grafel needed only 91 seconds to win at 126 pounds while Jimenez took his match just 27 seconds into the second period.

Junior state-rated Devil Isaiah Mason delivered a 36-second pin in his 145-pound match.

Rowdy Farr finished his 182-pound foe within 43 seconds while David Waterman delivered a 2:42 victory at 152.

Drew Juenemann delivered one more clutch Decatur victory when he triumphed 8-3 at 138.

The Red Devils earned a split of this home triangular as they, Phillipsburg and McCook all finished with 1-1 records. More details appear above.
