BEAVER CITY, Neb. — Clarabelle Brakhahn, 84, of Beaver City, formerly of Hendley, Neb., died Saturday (Nov. 11, 2017), at the Beaver City Manor.
She was born Nov. 6, 1933, to John and Clara (Mayes) Steinke on a farm near Beaver City. She graduated from Beaver City High School in 1951. She married Harold Henry Brakhahn on June 10, 1951. They farmed in the Holbrook and Hendley area. She moved to Arapahoe in 2007 and in July 2011, to Beaver City.
Shewas preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Harold; her parents; five sisters and two brothers; daughter-in-law, Zona Brakhahn and one infant granddaughter, Logan Brakhahn.
Survivors include her children, Doug and Sheila Brakhahn of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Gary and Jenny Brakhahno of Arapahoe, Ken Brakhahn of Hendley, Randy and Pam Brakhahn of Kearney, Neb., and Patty and Kurt Stradley of Raymond, Neb.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m. and prior to the service at the church, at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City.
Funeral services are Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, with Rev. James Moshier officiating. Interment will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Beaver City.
