McCook Volleyball Invite schedule

McCOOK, Neb. — Early-season unbeaten Alliance and four area schools join McCook in the McCook Volleyball Invitational on Saturday.

Defending tourney champ Chase County returns along with dangerous Cambridge, Southwest and Decatur Community from Oberlin, Kan.

First round, 11 a.m.

Match 1: McCook (2-1) vs. Valentine (3-7) at McCook High; Match 2: Cambridge (4-4) vs. Northern Valley, Kan. (7-4) at McCook Junior High.

First round, 20 minutes after matches 1 and 2

Match 3: Alliance (3-0) vs. Southwest (0-8) at MHS; Match 4: Chase County (3-3) vs. Decatur Community (4-10) at MJHS.

Second round, 1 p.m.

Match 5: Winners of McCook-Valentine and Cambridge-Northern Valley at MHS; Match 6: losers meet at MJHS.

Second round. about 15 minutes after 5 and 6:

Match 7: Winners of Alliance-Southwest and Chase-Decatur at MHS; losers at MJHS.

Match 9: Third place, 30 minutes after Match 7 at McCook High.

Match 10: Seventh place, 30 minutes after Match 8 at MJHS.

Match 11: Consolation final, 15 minutes after Match 10 at MJHS.

Match 12: Champinship match between winners of Matches 5 and 7, 15 minutes after Match 9 at MHS.
