Mattie Rose Uerling of McCook and Steven Sander of Edison, Neb., announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
Parents of the bride-to-be are Mark and Sherri Uerling of McCook.
Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Theresa Foster of Colby, Kan., and Rocky Sander of Oxford, Neb.
Grandparents of the couple are the late Bill and Myrna Clifford, formerly of Hayes Center, Neb., Claire Uerling of Indianola, Neb., and the late Bob Uerling, Bill Teel of Indianola and the late Barb Teel, and Carol Sander of Wichita, Kan., and the late Bob Sander.
The bride-to-be graduated from Southwest High School and University of Nebraska Medical Center with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is an OB and med surgical nurse at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Holdrege, Neb.
The prospective bridegroom graduated from Dundy County High School and attended Hutchinson Community College in fire science. He is employed with Ag Valley in Edison and is on the rural fire department.
A Sept. 9, 2017, wedding is planned at St. Patrick’s Church in McCook.
The couple will reside in Edison.
