Seventh-Eighth Division

Ravens 21, Colts 20

The final game of the 2017 MFL season turned into a duel between the Colts’ Lane Lenz and the Ravens’ Gomez.

Both players scored three touchdowns, but it was the Ravens who capitalized on all three conversion attempts to win 21-20.

Lenz opened the game with a one-yard plunge to give the Colts an early 7-0 advantage.

The Ravens responded with three touchdowns to take a 21-7 lead. All three scores were from Gomez, as the lead back had runs of 10, 49 and 65 yards. His 49-yard run was the final play of the first half and his 65-yard scamper was the first play after halftime.

The Colts would make it interesting with two final scores. Lenz ran in from 10 yards out, but the conversion attempt failed making it 21-13.

In the final minutes, Lenz would score again from 12 yards out and add an extra-point to make the score 21-20.

The Ravens ran out the remaining time to hang on for the win.
