Ash Creek Bar & Grill in Herndon looking for new owners
HERNDON, Kan. — Restaurant owners of Ash Creek Bar & Grill in Herndon, KS are looking to sell their business. Dan and Myra Stoney made the difficult decision due to increased activity with their jobs and family. The restaurant plans to remain open until June 17.
Dan has been instrumental in the success of the restaurant with his food ideas, special recipes and “give it all” attitude. “It excites me to hear that customers love the food whether it is steak, pizza, specials, pie or sandwiches. I enjoy seeing the regular customers come back for their favorites.” States Dan Stoney, Co-Owner, Manager and Cook.
“We have had so much fun building the clientele and staffing at Ash Creek. We love this restaurant. Great food, great people, great fun. “ States Myra Stoney, Co-Owner, Waitress and Bookkeeper. Ash Creek Bar & Grill was opened in June 2015, days before the Herndon Ox Roast. Named Ash Creek after the creek which flows through Herndon, the Stoney’s purchased the restaurant because it was located in Dan’s hometown.
The Stoney’s stated their reasons for selling the restaurant are due to busy work schedules and a need to spend more time with their family. They hope to sell the restaurant to continue the Herndon tradition which includes a restaurant in Herndon. Many improvements have been made to the business in the last two years such as: new interior paint and décor, building and equipment repair, equipment replacement, and consistency in food and hours.
The restaurant has developed a reputation for excellent steaks, pizza, homemade pies and chicken fried steak and ribeye steak sandwiches.
Ash Creek Bar & Grill will continue business as usual until June 17. That is the last day to redeem gift cards and other coupons. The Stoney’s hope to have a buyer by June 17, but if not, they will close and continue the buyer search.
