Saturday accident

DANBURY, Neb. — A Danbury man is hospitalized in Lincoln following a four-wheeler accident on a county road northwest of Danbury Saturday evening.

The first call for medical help came to the City of McCook police dispatch center at 6:33 p.m.

William “Billie” Haag, 56 years old, was injured when the four-wheeler he was riding to spray weeds backed over a cliff and fell into the county road ditch below, near the intersection of county roads 708 and 395.

Danbury and McCook ambulance personnel responded, and Haag was transported to Community Hospital, McCook, and then transferred to a hospital in Lincoln with head and face trauma.

The Red Willow County sheriff’s department is investigating the accident.
