Longhorns rumble to both Ogalalla team titles

OGALLALA, Neb. —

Longhorn power was everywhere as both Chase County track and field teams took home Ogallala Invitational titles recently.

Nobody could outscore the Chase girls with their 153 points which nearly doubled closest contender Mitchell (81).

They won all three relays while senior Taylin McNair (200 meters) and Mallie McNair (400) both posted individual winning times not far from matching the best on nebraskamilesplit.com.

Longhorns finished 1-2 during both those 200 and 400-meter races. Allison Owings delivered one more title in the discus throw.

The Longhorn boys were equally lethal whether running, jumping or throwing.

Cody Williams won the high jump and Jack Bauerle outthrew all shot putters. Dakota Wallin dominated the discus by nearly reaching 150 feet.

Will Kuenne rounded the Ogallala track four times fast enough to win another 1600-meter run. The Longhorns’ 3200-meter relay was also victorious. All Chase County Longhorn top six placers:
