Husker Insider brings info to McCook
Sean Callahan of Husker Illustrated told a capacity crowd at the Coppermill Monday night that this will be a pivotal year for the Nebraska football team, as it implements a new 3-4 defense under new defensive coordinator Bob Diaco. Nebraska's recruiting class, ranked 20th on Rivals.com and fifth in the Big 10, including eight top lineman and three receivers. Featured above is pro-style quarterback Tristan Gebbia from California. The Cornhuskers' recruiting year "wasn't a home run, but it was a hell of a 2-run double," Callahan said, and should concentrate on picking up a couple of more receivers next year. Nebraska should have 8 or 9 wins this season, Callahan said, "but ask me after the spring game." The spring game is April 15, with spring practice only two weeks away. This was his ninth trip to McCook to provide insight to local Cornhusker fans.
