Wall of Fame presentation Saturday
McCOOK, Neb. -- Wallis Marsh, the 2016 McCook High School Wall of Fame inductee, will be in McCook Saturday for an awards presentation during half-time of the McCook vs. Minden boy's basketball game at the high school gymnasium.
Marsh is a 1985 MHS graduate who went on to found his own oil and gas companies, Extex Production and Extex Operating Co, which has grown to include over 700 oil wells in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Michigan.
Wallis and his wife, Dee Dee, have been very involved in many philanthropic activities in the Houston area.
In addition, he was the executive producer of an ESPN "30 for 30" series titled "Brian and the Boz." The series featured Brian Bosworth, Barry Switzer, Spencer Tillman, and Tony Casillas, among others. In May 2015, the series won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Sports Documentary Series for ESPN, with Wallis being credited as an executive producer. Marsh will bring his Emmy Award to McCook for the Hall of Fame presentation.
