CULBERTSON, Neb. -- Dennis M. Alano, age 69, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 at his home in Culbertson.

Dennis was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Michael Anglo and Maxine (Ansty) Alano on Dec. 22, 1946.

He married Linda K. Absher in Denver, Colo., in 1969. To this union two sons were born. In 2007, he married Patricia A. Lowrance in Grand Junction, Colo.

He entered the U.S. Army on Feb. 14, 1966, and was honorably discharged Feb. 13, 1972.

Dennis attended Atwood Baptist Church and was a member of the Elks Club in Boulder, Colo.

Dennis worked as a mechanical engineer at Rocky Flatts in Colorado for 29 years, retiring in 2004. In his free time he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his sons, Mike Alano of Rock Springs, Wyo., Joe Alano of McCook; step-son, Jason (Jenna) Waterhouse of Benkelman; step-daughters, Jennifer (Phil) Bernal of McCook, Pamela (Wayne) Baumann of Culbertson, Heidi (Cory) Anderson of Penalton, Ore.; brothers, Jerry Alano, Ronald Alano, Anthony Alano, Patrick Alano, Richard Alano; sister, Deborah Clark; one grandchild; and four step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and first wife, Linda.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in Colorado.
