As a member of the Many Moccasins Dance Troupe of Winnebago, Garan Coons danced the "men's fancy dance" at the Grand Duke Alexis buffalo hunt rendezvous recreation in Hayes County in 2004. Coons, a professional Native American dancer, singer, flute player and storyteller, will perform Saturday, at noon MDT, at the Cornerstone Center for Community Service in Haigler. His appearance is sponsored by the Haigler Community Foundation and the Nebraska Arts Council. Admission is free; donations are appreciated. Coons' performance highlights the second annual "Dundy Roo Spring Festival "in Haigler, featuring art, craft, wine and brew, artists and crafters from the tri-state area between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. MDT.
