Staff changes, promotional film on agenda
McCOOK, Neb. -- The McCook School Board will be asked to approve two resignations from fourth grade teachers, at its regular meeting Monday, 6:30 p.m. at the junior high conference room.
The resignations come from Paula Davis, who taught 15 years at McCook Public Schools and Lisa M. Keogh, for three years. Both resignations are effective at the end of this school year.
The resignations are the only new business slated for Monday night's meeting. Earlier in the meeting, Superintendent Grant Norgaad will present a draft of the school calendar for the 2016-17 school year, update the board on the ESU 15 workshop and discuss the e-meetings training calendar.
After the meeting, the one-hour video, "Consider the Alternative" will be shown, from Nebraska Loves Public Schools. Nebraska Loves Public Schools, according to its Facebook page, is a group of filmmakers from Papillion, Nebraska, whose mission is to showcase and celebrate Nebraska's public schools. According to the flyer, the video "provides viewers with a balanced understanding of publicly-funded charter schools from those who can speak about it best: charter school supporters, public school teachers and administrators, legislature members, the Nebraska State Board of Education and a parent moving through the education system."
