McCook Community Foundation banquet Jan. 19

McCOOK, Neb. - After a brief hiatus, the McCook Community Foundation Fund's annual banquet will return Tuesday, Jan. 19 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 308 East Ninth, in McCook.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person or $40 per couple with reservations needed by Friday, Jan. 15.

The evening's featured speaker is Matt Rezac, director of Rural Community Partnerships with the Sherwood Foundation in Omaha.

The evening will also include a visit from McCook's very own Scrooge, aka, Don Harpst, a MCFF committee member. Harpst, along with fellow committee member Bill Graves, will address the "ghosts" of Christmas future, announce upcoming MCFF plans and celebrate a recent MCFF milestone.

Another special event during the banquet will be the auction of a bison-themed painting by Don Dernovich, who has a studio in Culbertson.
