Aug. 5

7:57 a.m., 200 block of E. Third -- a pickup driven by Bert Myers, 46, of Oberlin, Kansas, backed out of a shop area at Devaney Motors and struck a parked pickup owned by Sherry L. Gonzales, 60, of 206 E. Third. Myers said his foot slipped off the brake. Combined vehicle damage estimated at $4,000.

Aug. 8

11: 45 a.m.,West B and U.S. Highway 83 junction -- a sports utility vehicle driven by Clara M. Sprenkle, 67, of 812 West M, making a left hand turn from West B onto U.S. Highway 83, and a sports utility vehicle driven by Alice M. White, 65, of Benkelman, Nebraska, westbound on West B, collided. White was taken to Community Hospital of McCook by EMS. Combined vehicle damage estimated at $11,000.

1:32 p.m., 300 block of West 10th, Goodlife Chinese Restaurant-- a sports utility vehicle driven by Sabrina Hernandez, 33, of Hayes Center, Nebraska, backed from the parking lot and struck an unoccupied, parked sports utility vehicle owned by Breana N. Budke, age unavailable, of 611 Norris. Combined vehicle damage estimated at $1,800.

11:35 a.m., alley of 200 block of West 10th -- a sports utility vehicle driven by April C. Jones, 40, of 112 West 10th, collided with a pickup driven by Robert D. Shepherd, 64, of 204 West 10th, that had backed from an alley driveway. Combined vehicle damage estimated at $6,500.

12:20 p.m., 500 block of Elizabeth Lane -- a vehicle driven by Justin D. Barenberg, 16, of 704 Missouri Avenue and owned by Joann M. Barenberg of the same address, turned onto Elizabeth Lane from Norris Avenue, fishtailed on the sand put on the road for re-surfacing, and struck a parked, unoccupied pickup owned by Randy D. Gull, age unavailable, of 515 Elizabeth Lane, Combined vehicle damage estimated at $11,000.

Aug. 12

12:31 p.m., West B and Wedgewood Drive -- a sports utility vehicle driven by Walton E. Jernigan, 86, of 1604 W. Fourth, turning from West B into the entrance of Walmart and a pickup driven by Debbie L. Schorzman, 58, of Benkelman, eastbound on West B, collided. Combined vehicle damage estimated at $6,500.
