The family of Zilah N. Powell of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, is requesting a card shower in honor of her 101th birthday today, July 27. She was born in Grant, Nebraska, and is a 1932 graduate of Stratton High School. She taught school in Stratton, where she and her husband farmed for many years. Her family includes her late husband, W.J. (Bill) Powell, son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Darlene Powell and grandaughter, Teresa Michele, all of Littleton, Colorado, grandson, Jeff Powell and great-grandson, Nick of Thornton, Colorado, and daughter, Yvonne Powell and grandsons, Ryan and Sean Carper, all of Mount Pleasant.
