McCook man faces felony charges due to alleged assault
McCOOK, Neb. -- A McCook man is facing three felony charges in Frontier County alleging he assaulted one man, strangled a woman and threatened violence against a total of four people during an altercation in June.
Douglas E. Dueland of 905 Sunset is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in the case at 10 a.m. on Aug. 7, 2015, in Frontier County Court.
According to court documents Dueland has been charged with a Class III felony alleging he caused bodily injury to Billy D. Hansen with a dangerous instrument; a Class IV felony alleging he threatened to commit a crime of violence with intent to terrorize Mary E. Dueland, Billy D. Hansen, Crystal G. Bright and Larry W. Bass; and a second Class IV felony alleging he strangled Crystal Bright.
The charges stem from Dueland's arrest by the Nebraska State Patrol on June 14, 2015, near the intersection of County Road 731 and 388 in Frontier County.
