WEBSTER, Texas -- Stuart W. Ruby, age 57, of Alvin, Texas passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster, Texas.

Stuart was born Jan. 5, 1958, in Lubbock, Texas, and was a resident of Alvin since 1999. Stuart grew up in rural Nebraska and spent much of his life farming. He harvested wheat and barley from Texas to Montana. Stuart loved the great outdoors. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, camping, and water skiing.

Stuart will be dearly missed by all of those that knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred Seybold and Elaine Potts; son, Jacques Ruby; sister, Nancy Day; stepsister, Mary Fetters; and stepbrother, Ron Seybold.

Stuart is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Heidi Ruby; son, Benjamin Ruby; Alisa Cox and granddaughter, Ella Ruby; sisters, Gloria Kersey and husband, Dennis and Susan Ruby; brothers, Richard Ruby, Thomas Ruby and wife, Barbara; stepsister, Judy Long and husband, Don; along with his beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service was at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at Scott Funeral Home.
