BENKELMAN, Neb. -- Vada Manning, 82, a long-time resident of Stratton, Nebraska, died Thursday (June 4, 2015), at the Dundy County Hospital in Benkelman.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Manning of Stratton; children, Rebecca Peterson and husband, Roddy of Benkelman, Vickie Thornbrugh and husband, David of Stratton and Kathryn Thornbrugh of Grand Island, Nebraska; sister, Lela Fortkamp and husband, Don of Palisade, Nebraska; sisters-in-law, Daisy Jensen of Max, Nebraska, and Lila Faulkner and husband, Michael of Henderson, Nevada; brother-in-law, Oscar Manning and wife, Pat of Wichita, Kansas; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Tuesday, June 9, 2015, 10:30 A.M. (MT), at the Benkelman Community Building in Benkelman. Interment will follow at Benkelman Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday at the Benkelman Community Building prior to services.

Memorials may be given to the Stratton Ambulance Service.
